Weezer's self-titled debut album, commonly known as the "Blue Album," was released on May 10, 1994.

Produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars, this album introduced the world to Weezer's signature blend of power pop, alternative rock, and geeky charm. Featuring hits like "Buddy Holly," "Undone – The Sweater Song," and "Say It Ain't So," the record became a defining moment of '90s alternative music. Technically, the album is notable for its clean yet powerful production, with layered harmonies, dynamic guitar riffs, and a blend of melancholic and upbeat melodies. Rivers Cuomo’s introspective lyrics, combined with the band's tight instrumentation, gave the album lasting appeal.
