The Cult - Electric

"Electric", released in 1987, is The Cult's fourth studio album, marking a significant change in style with a sound heavily influenced by hard rock and classic rock, following the more gothic sound of "Love".

Produced by Rick Rubin, the album includes some of the band's biggest hits, such as "Love Removal Machine" and "Wild Flower". Interestingly, "Electric" was initially conceived to be a more experimental album, but Rick Rubin's involvement brought a more direct and energetic approach, reflecting the style of bands like AC/DC. "Love Removal Machine" became an instant classic, helping the band gain a new fanbase and solidify their place in the 80s rock scene.
