The present text Nadir, Art in Diaspora is a collective work resulting from an initial publication in the Revista Visuais titled Nadir, the Art of a Diaspora.
In fact, and by invitation of Professor Mauricius Martins Farina (from the postgraduate program in Visual Arts at Unicamp - Brazil), we were invited to coordinate a thematic dossier on Nadir Afonso, aimed at promoting the nadirian work in Brazil.This dossier (consisting of 10 unpublished essays and a separate section on the biography, bibliography, and works of Nadir Afonso) was published in 2019 (v.4, n.º 7, 2018, online publication in February 2019, ISSN 2447-13131). To this dossier, we now add a previously published essay by Adelaide Ginga, from 2010, as we believe it is important to complement the historical review of the time of the nadirian diaspora.
