José de Guimarães at the 30th Anniversary of Fundação Oriente and the 10th Anniversary of the Museu do Oriente

In this large-scale intervention, distributed across the two exhibition galleries on the ground floor of the Museu do Oriente, and presented in the form of two contrasting and opposing spaces, one black and the other white, reminiscent of the two energies of Yin and Yang, the colors of the works from both collections provide rhythm and balance. The artist, architect, and curator propose a dialogue/reflection around the idea of the Museum as a space of otherness, where different places and origins engage and resonate with each other (Carlos Monjardino).
